About Me
I have embroidered since I was a child - my mother enrolled my sister and I on a stitching class on a Saturday morning and we have both retained our love of textiles.
I have stitched in one way or another since then, including achieving City and Guilds Parts 1 and 2 in Hand Embroidery. I returned to a serious practice when my children were born and my career slowed down. I stitched events in their lives as memories as an interested observer.
My overarching theme remains Memory and now includes my own memories as an active participant.
I have also been exploring painting - working with acrylic paint and my current practice is how to combine those two media while the end result remains tactile and the process enjoyable.
