Bridge Sculpture Power

Inspired by my 100 day project, I painted a couple of large acrylic paintings using similar imagery

This painting - size A1 - started as a blind contour drawing which I painted in acrylic, stencilled and outlined with acrylic ink.

This page was a collage of 3 previous images and formed the starting point for the painting on the right - which had many more layers than the first one - about 8! The addition of the flowers was a great colour contrast and made the pieces connected.

Poinsettias

In December I did a series of works based on poinsettias. My Mum had passed away in the summer and I always bought her a poinsettia at Christmas so this series was inspired by that.

This is a canvas panel which I will get out as part of our Christmas decorations

In Memory of lost parents

I have found comfort in creating pieces of work to remember my parents and mother in law who all passed away over the last 2 years. My Dad was a great musician, my Mum loved roses and my Mother in law enjoyed watching th birds on her bird table.

Vases Series

A series of vases created intuitively after I was given a vase made by my great aunt. I did ot set out to create vases but as I worked on the 3 canvases together the vases appeared.
